8/19/2008Part Time Academic Coordinator : Department of Women’s Studies & Department of Asian American Studies
The Department in Women’s Studies and the Department in Asian American Studies invite applications for a part-time academic coordinator to assist the Chairs in curriculum and program development. Duties include: assisting faculty in developing research and curriculum resources, developing campus, community and student outreach and publicity, planning and coordinating seminars, colloquia and conferences.

QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree in related field preferred. Experience in administrative, public relations, or other, related organizational work. Knowledge and overview of relevant interdisciplinary scholarship, social issues and the academic environment. Strong organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. ability to work effectively, independently, and cooperatively with a variety of university constituencies (faculty, state, students, other researchers and administrators). Experience in contracts and grants writing, submission and administration.

SALARY: Annual full-time salary starts at $44,400.00. The position is 50% time (30% with Women’s Studies and 20% with Asian American Studies).
