Born and raised in Torrance, California, Dave enjoys the sunshine and warm weather of Southern California. After receiving a BA from UC San Diego & an MA from UC Irvine, he spent 6 years in Europe (mostly in Germany, but also in England & Ireland) expanding his horizons. He has always felt drawn to the teaching profession, so he came back to America at the millennium to teach English to foreign nationals attending private institutions. He met his wife Mayu while she was studying at El Camino College, and she encouraged him to return to university. Dave is currently preparing for exams & hopes to proceed with his dissertation on Gert Ledig.
