The Society of Early Americanists provides a forum for scholarly and pedagogical exchange and professional support for those interested in the field of American studies before 1830. Our membership of over 200 individuals enjoys a bi-yearly newsletter detailing recent publications and activities in our field, a newly established website that links to many documents of interest to early American scholars and teachers, and this listserv. We also offer opportunities for networking and dissemination of professional work.

Please consider joining us. Members receive the newsletter and are invited to participate on the website as well as to attend the annual meetings of the Society at our conferences or, in alternate years, at the American Literature Association conference.
