YOU--not faculty or staff--must initiate
all adds, drops, changes to your class schedule, transcript, etc.
You can obtain forms, petitions, and good advice in the Undergraduate
Counseling Office, 143 Humanities Instructional Building. Click
on the listings to the lower left for policies about particular
topics.
ADDS, DROPS, CHANGES IN THE GRADING
OPTION: You are subject to the add,
drop, change deadlines set by the instructor of the class as well
as the academic unit in which the course is offered. Deadlines can
differ in each of your courses, so make sure you understand them.
You are also subject to the deadlines of the
School in which you are a major or to which you have been assigned
(in the case of unaffiliated sophomores). For all majors in Humanities,
these deadlines are:
- Any student may add or drop a Humanities course through the end of the second week of classes. An exception may only be requested for extenuating circumstances outside the student's control, by submitting a Late Add/Drop petition to the instructor and Humanities Undergraduate Study (HIB 143).
- Humanities majors may, with an instructor's signature, add or drop a non-Humanities course through the end of the sixth week of classes, subject to any deadlines imposed by the School/Program where the course is offered.
- Majors in Humanities may change the grading option in a course through the end of the sixth week of classes.

here.

Humanities Core Course and all courses taken in substitution for
Core) and courses in your major MUST be taken for letter grades.
